The retailer, Walmart is broadening its horizons, where they are set to expand its pilot program 'Carsaver'. The program connects car buyers with dealerships where they can gain more info on buying, financing and insuring a car. It will also help customers who are interested in selling or trading in for a fresh car. The program will be available nationwide in over 250 Walmart locations and on its website.
Automotive News added the partnership began in April 2017 in four markets—Houston, Dallas, Phoenix and Oklahoma City—after a pilot in Stuart, Florida a year prior; it aims to sell 1,000 new and used vehicles a year per Walmart location. .
CarSaver website states the partnership will help dealers sell more cars by reaching Walmart’s 250 million customers and 1.7 million employees. Walmart, however, specified it has 140 million customers per week.
