A man is behind bars Thursday night after a woman was found dead at a home in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Authorities are investigating a homicide at a home on the 18300 block of Cascade Drive in Eden Prairie, and have made an arrest in connection to the killing.

At 2:18 a.m. Thursday, Eden Prairie police were called to the scene and found a woman deceased inside, according to Lt. Matt Sackett. Several other family members were home at the time.

Inside, they found a woman's body and a few hours later Tom Houck, 61, was arrested and is now being held at Hennepin County Jail. He is accused of murder.

Eden Prairie police are not giving out much information, except to say the victim and suspect knew each other. Neighbors told Fox 9 that Houck was married to the victim.

Those neighbors said he was a kind person, they also said they hadn't seen the wife leave the home in years since she had a bad accident in which she sustained severe injuries.

Houck was known to the victim and police do not believe there is a further threat to the public.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will identify the victim and determine the cause of death.
