The race is on with dare-devils hitting the Red Bull Crashed Ice Course in St. Paul, Minn. And it's sure to draw the biggest crowd with hundreds of thousands of spectators.
But it's far from the only big event happening this weekend in the capitol city -- A lot going on means a lot of traffic, and a lot of people looking for a place to park.
With the St. Paul Winter Carnival, shows at the Ordway & Fitzgerald theatre, and the Sam Smith concert at Roy Wilkins Auditorium all going on, you'll need to make sure you give yourself extra time to get to where you need to be.
But there's no question the Red Bull Crashed Ice competition will draw the largest crowd to the city for its fourth year in a row. Many of the athletes competing in the ice cross downhill competition on the USA team also happen to be from Minnesota.
"They're fearless," Reid Meyer, a spectator, said. "They can handle these corners; they can handle the competition between other guys and just compete at a world-class level."
Some of the Minnesota talent to look out for is Cameron Nassz of Lakeville, Reid Whiting from Rochester, and the Bergeson brothers from St. Paul.
"It's an adrenaline rush," Charlie Wasley, Coach of Team USA, said. "You take in a combination of skating and downhill skiing and you're going 40 miles an hour over jumps and turns with three other guys next."
