Rep. Tom Emmer wins relection in Minnesota's 6th District
Rep. Tom Emmer / U.S. House of Representatives
Rep. Tom Emmer won reelection to Minnesota’s 6th congressional district, which covers central Minnesota from western and northern suburbs of the Twin Cities to beyond St. Cloud.
Emmer defeated Democratic challenger David Snyder, an Army veteran and union iron worker, in his first re-election campaign.
Republicans have held the seat since 2003, but many races have been close. Former Rep. Michele Bachmann won two of her races by just three points and one point.
