Retired police officer's last trip home goes viral

An emotional video posted by the daughter of a retired Coon Rapids police officer has gone viral.

On Oct. 24, Missy Rumble posted a video of police officers welcoming her father home for his final days.

Denny Preston spent 26 years with the Coon Rapids Police Department. He retired in 2000 and was later diagnosed with cancer that spread throughout his body. Preston decided he wanted to pass away in his own home, and once he arrived from Mercy Hospital officers were lined up in his driveway.

He passed away on Oct. 25 at age 72.

Preston’s other daughter, Tami Serna shared the video with “Love What Matters” Facebook Page and it now has over seven million views.
