The Brief

    • No injuries were reported after a school bus slid off the road in Brooklyn Center on Thursday morning.
    • Brooklyn Center police say the children on board were put on another bus and there was no damage to the bus that slid into the ditch.
    • A snow emergency was declared in St. Paul and Minneapolis later in the day on Thursday.

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (FOX 9) - A school bus slid into a ditch during heavy snowfall in Brooklyn Center on Thursday morning, but none of the children on the bus were injured.

What we know: The bus was seen in a ditch downhill from a Highway 100 exit ramp just after 8 a.m. on Thursday.

The Brooklyn Center Police Department confirmed there were children on the bus, but none of them were injured. 

The children were then put on another bus and the bus that slid into the ditch was towed out. 

Police believe there was no damage to the bus.
