ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - St. Paul police and the FDA executed a search warrant Wednesday at Hmong Village after a months-long investigation into various practices.
According to a release, authorities are investigating "the distribution of misbranded medications, adulterated legend drugs without a prescription and products containing mercury."
FDA officials received several documented reports of illnesses occurring as a result of items linked to the market.
Authorities say business operations were unaffected by the search, and no arrests were made in relation to this search warrant. However, several vendors were cited.
Officials will release more information on this case at a later time.
