State Patrol investigating deadly crash on Hwy. 7 in Victoria
VICTORIA, Minn. (FOX 9) - The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that took place on Highway 7 in Victoria Monday morning.
The crash occurred at 8:21 a.m. on Hwy. 7 east of Hawks Pointe Lane. The State Patrol says a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban was headed westbound on the highway when it crossed the center line and struck an oncoming semi.
The driver of the SUV, a 49-year-old Excelsior woman, was killed in the crash. She has been identified as Julie Anne Lizak.
The semi driver, a 40-year-old Glencoe man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Hwy. 7 was closed for a period of time following the crash, but has since reopened.
