Tesla recalls nearly 240,000 vehicles over rearview camera issue

Tesla is recalling nearly 240,000 vehicles because of a problem affecting the rearview camera, which can cause a visibility issue for drivers.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a filing last week that the recall covers certain Model 3, Model S,  Model X, and Model Y vehicles.

The computer circuit board may short, resulting in the loss of the rearview camera image, according to the recall documents. This can cause an issue with the driver’s rearview, increasing the risk of a crash.

A total of 239,382 vehicles are under the recall.
