BLAINE, Minn. (FOX 9) - For 2019's sixth “Top Teacher” award, FOX 9's Hobie Artigue headed to Blaine to honor Ashley Howard from Northdale Middle School.
Howard is a special education lead at the school.
She was nominated by a parent of one of her students for the patient work she does on a daily basis. In addition, she is known for creating an environment of inclusion around campus for her pupils with disabilities.
Along with the honor, Ms. Howard’s school also earned a $1,000 check from Royal Credit Union to spend on classroom supplies.
Howard also receives a Subway Sandwich party for her and her friends.
FOX 9’s “Top Teacher” series is not done yet, with three more winners to be announced in the coming days.
