MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - It was a dream come true for many members of the University of Minnesota marching band as they took the field with Justin Timberlake for the Super Bowl halftime show Sunday night at U.S. Bank Stadium.
They were on hand to perform Timberlake's "Suit and Tie," dressed appropriately in black suits with white shirts and black ties as the pop star stood atop an underlit podium at midfield.
"The U of M Marching Band's Super Bowl appearance affirms the excellence of their musicality, and their total dedication to our institution," University of Minnesota Music School Director Michael Kim tweeted from the music school's account shortly after . "I couldn't be more thrilled and proud of our Band."
