Valleyfair shuts down 3 rides due to flooding
SHAKOPEE, Minn. (FOX 9) - Flooding along the Minnesota River is impacting operations at Valleyfair.
Valleyfair has temporarily closed three rides: Excalibur, Thunder Canyon, and Renegade. Officials say the "vast majority" of the park remains open.
Flooding has also affected parking. Starting Wednesday, guests should use these options until the water recedes:
- Canterbury Park Overflow Lot: This lot offers free MVTA bus service to Valleyfair every 15-20 minutes from 9 a.m. until park close. Look for buses marked "VALLEYFAIR."
- MVTA’s Southbridge Crossings Park & Ride and Eagle Creek Park & Ride Stations: Both stations provide free bus service to Valleyfair every 15-20 minutes from 9 a.m. until park close. Buses will be marked "VALLEYFAIR."
- Valleyfair Overflow Parking Lot: This grassy area behind the main lot is available for four-wheel drive vehicles with adequate clearance.
For pick-up/drop-off, guests can enter through the 1 Valley Park Drive entrance and follow signs to the county service road.
