Valleyfair flooding; Chopper video shows flood damage

Aerial video shows the extent of the flooding at Valleyfair in Shakopee.

Flooding along the Minnesota River is impacting operations at Valleyfair.

Valleyfair has temporarily closed three rides: Excalibur, Thunder Canyon, and Renegade. Officials say the "vast majority" of the park remains open.

Flooding has also affected parking. Starting Wednesday, guests should use these options until the water recedes:

  • Canterbury Park Overflow Lot: This lot offers free MVTA bus service to Valleyfair every 15-20 minutes from 9 a.m. until park close. Look for buses marked "VALLEYFAIR."
  • MVTA’s Southbridge Crossings Park & Ride and Eagle Creek Park & Ride Stations: Both stations provide free bus service to Valleyfair every 15-20 minutes from 9 a.m. until park close. Buses will be marked "VALLEYFAIR."
  • Valleyfair Overflow Parking Lot: This grassy area behind the main lot is available for four-wheel drive vehicles with adequate clearance.

For pick-up/drop-off, guests can enter through the 1 Valley Park Drive entrance and follow signs to the county service road.
