Watertown Township house fire leaves 2 dead, 1 in critical condition

The Carver County Sheriff's Office says two people are dead and one person is in critical condition after a house fire in Watertown Township, Minn.

Crews responded to the 11000 block of County Road 20 around 2:20 a.m.

Once on scene firefighters found two victims inside the residence and both were pronounced dead.

A third victim was found outside the home with significant injuries, that person was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center and is in critical condition. The names of all three victims are being held until family members have been notified.

A neighbor tells Fox 9 the two who died were children. 

Watertown Fire, Victoria Fire, Mayer Fire, New Germany Fire, Waconia Fire, Delano Fire, Maple Plain Fire, Montrose Fire, St. Bonifacious Fire, Ridgeview Ambulance, Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Midwest Medical Examiner Office assisted with this incident.  

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the fire.
