Police chase ends in crash, driver flees on foot

Early Monday morning Minnesota State Troopers engaged in a chase with a motorcycle on northbound 35E. The motorcycle then crash, and the driver fled on foot, troopers say. The driver was apprehended moments later. State Patrol says the investigation is on going.

Minnesota State Patrol engaged in a chase with a motorcycle on northbound Interstate 35E early Monday morning. 

According to the State Patrol, authorities attempted to stop the motorcycle, but the motorcyclist failed to yield. Troopers then initiated a pursuit. The motorcyclist then crashed at southbound Minnesota 280 and Broadway Street. 

The driver fled on foot and was taken into custody moments later, troopers say. 

Troopers say the driver displayed signs of impairment. 

The driver was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation is ongoing.
