Wild's Staal delivers 'Hat Trick' hats to patients at Children's Hospital
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - Minnesota Wild forward Eric Staal made a special visit to patients at Children's Minnesota St. Paul.
Staal delivered "Hat Trick" hats in celebration of his first hat trick with the Minnesota Wild on Feb. 27.
When a Wild player scores a hat trick, fans throw their hats onto the ice. Crews then count the hats and donate an equal number - in this case, 221 - to patients at the hospital.
