Barron Co. crash leaves 2 dead

A fiery crash on Memorial Day has left two people dead after a van of 10 people crashed in Barron County.

Two people were killed in Wisconsin when a van carrying 10 occupants and a car with four occupants collided Monday evening. 

According to the Barron County Sheriff’s Office, the car traveling west on County Road A near Ridgeland, struck the van going north on Highway 25 around 5:52 p.m.

One occupant in the van, a 54-year-old man, was killed in the crash. Other passengers in van range in age from 8-54, and were taken to area hospitals and treated for serious to minor injuries.

A 13-year-old boy was also killed in the crash, and was a passenger of the car.

The crash remains under investigation.
