World's Greatest French Fries stand catches fire at Minnesota State Fair
FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. (KMSP) - A fire damaged a popular food stand at the Minnesota State Fair Friday night.
The World’s Greatest French Fries stand on Dan Patch Avenue near the Grandstand caught on fire shortly after 7:30 p.m. Nine employees were reportedly inside at the time, but everyone got out. No one was injured.
The St. Paul Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire. Workers told Fox 9 it was not a grease fire.
The stand will remain closed until the investigation is complete and the extent of damage can be determined. That could be as soon as Sunday, according to state fair officials.
