Lauren Andrego

Lauren is thrilled to serve Twin Cities commuters every morning as the traffic reporter for the FOX 9 Morning News.

Lauren grew up in Mankato, Minnesota, and graduated from Mankato East High School. She then attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, where she wrote for TommieMedia, their student-run news organization. She also covered St. Thomas football and called games for Tommie baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball.

She moved back to her hometown to officially start her television career. In 2018, Lauren became the weekend anchor at KEYC News Now in North Mankato. For three years (and through the pandemic), she covered local news across southern Minnesota, and felt extremely privileged to work in the community where she was raised. In 2021, she returned to the Twin Cities as a producer and reporter for Minnesota Live at KSTP-TV.

When she’s not working, Lauren loves doing yoga, attending musicals and live sports, playing Wordle and listening to Taylor Swift. She is an ordained wedding officiant. She is also a novice baker working toward a State Fair Blue Ribbon (unsuccessful in 2023 and 2024) and would love a copy of your favorite dessert recipe!
