Minnesota Timberwolves’ star Anthony Edwards added to his highlight reel as they faced the Orlando Magic Thursday night.

Edwards put Anthony Black on a poster with a thunderous dunk during the third quarter of the game. Edwards then stared him down and mean-mugged him.  He had 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists as the Timberwolves beat the Magic 104-89 for their third straight win.

The play was reminiscent of his dunk on John Collins of the Utah Jazz last season. Edwards dislocated a finger on the dunk, and Collins left that game with a head injury.

Edwards wears wristband for child battling Leukemia

What we know: Edwards has been on a tear since he told a 6-year-old boy with Leukemia he’d wear his orange wristband the rest of his career. It happened after a 51-point night in a loss to the Detroit Pistons. Minnesota has won three straight since the moment and is now 20-17 on the esaosn.

Up next

Looking ahead: Edwards and the Timberwolves host the Memphis Grizzlies Saturday night. They travel to the Washington Wizards on Monday and host the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.
