Fan's guide to Minnesota Vikings Training Camp in Eagan

EAGAN, Minn. (KMSP) - Minnesota Vikings Training Camp will be held at the new Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center in Eagan, Minn. for the first time ever this summer. Here is what you need to know before you go:

TICKETS: Daily fan attendance will be capped at 5,000 people for each of the 18 days of training camp. All tickets must be reserved in advance at vikings.com/trainingcamp. There will be 4,000 free, general admission tickets available each day and 1,000 reserved seats for the Kwik Trip Red Zone. Reserved seats are $20 each, with a premium pricing of $25 each for the joint practices with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 15 and Aug. 16.

Vikings season ticket holders can start reserving training camp tickets at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 21. Tickets for the general public will be made available at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 25. Don’t worry, season tickets holders won’t be able to gobble up all of the tickets – the Vikings are holding back 1,300 general admission tickets each day until the public release.

There is a four ticket limit and two-day maximum per person.

FOOD AND DRINKS: More food and beverage options will be released prior to the start of training camp, but the Vikings said hot dogs will cost $3, bottles of water will be $1 and fans will be allowed to bring their own water into training camp.

BAG POLICY: All bag types will be allowed at training camp after passing through security screening. There will be express entry lines for fans without bags.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: One big change from Mankato – in the event of inclement weather, fans will not be given access to indoor practices. The Vikings will refund parking costs, but no makeup tickets will be issued for other practice dates.

GETTING TO TCO: The primary point of access to Vikings Training Camp will be from MN-149/Dodd Road via Interstate 494. Wayfinding signage and flaggers will direct traffic from onto Vikings Parkway toward TCO Stadium. Training camp can also be reached via Ames Crossing Road from Lone Oak Road. PARKING: Parking passes are $10 each and can be purchased when reserving tickets. There will be more than 2,200 parking spaces available. Parking must be purchased in advance. No parking will be available for purchase on the date of your visit because the team does not want to slow down traffic with transactions.

NO TAILGATING: Due to limited space in the parking lot, tailgating will not be permitted.

RIDESHARING: All drop-offs and rideshare services will go to Trinity School at River Ridge (601 River Ridge Parkway). A shuttle service will bring fans from the drop-off to the main security checkpoint.

KEY TRAINING CAMP DATES

FIRST DAYS: Rookies report to training camp on Tuesday, July 24. The first day of rookie practice in Wednesday, July 25 – open to the public for the first time this year.

FULL TEAM: Veterans report to camp on Friday, July 27 and practice for the first time on Saturday, July 28.

FIRST FULL PADS PRACTICE: Monday, July 30.

NIGHT PRACTICE: Saturday, Aug. 4.
