MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - After nearly 30 years of professional baseball, Gene Glynn finally landed back home in Minnesota as the Twins' third base coach.
The Waseca, Minn., native was a standout baseball and basketball player, playing for a short time with the Montreal Expos in the Minor Leagues before becoming a coach and manager.
He's seen the team go from 100-plus losses last season to clinching a playoff spot this year--a first for Major League Baseball--and hopes to see the team improve even more.
