Minnesota Frost close to full health ahead of international break
The Minnesota Frost was back at practice Thursday before they take a week off for the international break.
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The Minnesota Frost is getting close to 100 percent health, just in time for the team to get more than a week off due to the international break.
The Frost beat Toronto 4-3 in a shootout on Tuesday to improve to 5-4-4-2 on the season, and their 25 points are one behind Montreal for the top spot in the PWHL. That’s despite the team being hit by injuries and illness.
Zumwinkle returns to practice
Why it matters: Grace Zumwinkle was back on the ice at practice Thursday as she continues to work her way back from injury. But three other Minnesota Frost players – Kendall Coyne Schofield, Taylor Heise and Claire Thompson – lead the team with 14 points.
Frost get some rest
What’s next: Minnesota Frost is off due to the international break until Feb. 11, when they travel to Toronto. That’s the start of a four-game road trip. The Frost are back at Xcel Energy Center Feb. 23 against Toronto.
