Minnesota Vikings host annual Adoption Fun Fest
EAGAN, Minn. (KMSP) - The Minnesota Vikings helped shine the spotlight on the gift of adoption Tuesday night.
The Vikings organization hosted its annual Adoption Fun Fest at TCO Performance Center. The event brought more than 500 people together to enjoy a night of games, football fun and snacks at the indoor practice facility.
General Manager Rick Spielman and his wife have adopted five children of their own. He says it's all about sharing a sense of family with others.
"The whole event is for celebration of adoption and to promote adoption, so anyone out there thinking about adopting can see how rewarding it is," said Spielman. "And every kid deserves an opportunity to get a home and this is just our way of showing appreciation for what adoption has done for us and our family."
