Minnesota Wild hold outdoor practice in Edina
EDINA, Minn. (KMSP) - It was a perfect winter day for some outdoor Minnesota Wild hockey in Edina, Minn. With a few inches of fresh snow on the ground, hundreds of hockey fans home for winter break joined Wild players and coaches at the Braemar Backyard rink for an outdoor practice on Tuesday.
The Braemar Backyard outdoor rink opened last winter. The rink was built to give the local hockey association and figure skating club more available ice time.
The Wild will play outdoors on Sunday, Feb. 21 when they face the Chicago Blackhawks at TCF Bank Stadium for the 2016 NHL Stadium Series. Read more about the historic weekend for Minnesota hockey at wild.nhl.com.
