Harrison Smith to miss first game since 2022
Harrison Smith was declared inactive for the Vikings 90 minutes before kickoff with a foot injury.
What it means: Smith is missing his first game since the 2022 regular season finale, when the Vikings already knew their playoff seed and were resting starters. Smith is the longest-tenured Vikings’ player on the roster. He has 79 tackles and two interceptions in 14 starts. He’s a steadying presence in the secondary.
Vikings seeking 8th straight win
The Vikings are 12-2 and have won seven straight games, They’ll have to finish ahead of the Detroit Lions to win the NFC North title, and the Lions are facing the Chicago Bears in the noon window on Sunday. The Bears didn't offer any help Sunday, losing to the Lions 34-17 as Detroit improved to 13-2. The Vikings need a win at the Seahawks to keep pace in the NFC North in the final two weeks.
The Vikings play Detroit at Ford Field to close out the regular season. The division winner likely earns the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, a first round bye and home field until the Super Bowl.
