Vikings vs. Lions: What's at stake
What we know: Minnesota (14-2) heads to Detroit (14-2) for a Sunday Night Football match-up for the final regular-season game of the season. This marks the NFL's first regular-season game in which both teams have 13 or more wins before kickoff. And the stakes are high.
The winner take the NFC North Division title and gets the No. 1 seed for the NFC Playoffs. That means a first-round bye, and home field throughout the playoffs until the Super Bowl. The loser will be the No. 5 seed and have to go on the road in the Wild Card Round. There has never been a No. 5 seed with 14 wins. That will change this year.
Kevin O'Connell has a chance to win his second division title in three seasons with the Vikings. The Lions won it last season, and got to the NFC title game before losing to the 49ers. O'Connell went 13-4 in his first season, won the NFC North and got eliminated by the New York Giants in the Wild Card Playoffs. In two-plus seasons, O'Connell is 34-17 at Minnesota.
