Vikings vs. Rams: When is kickoff?

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday in Arizona. You can watch it on ESPN.

The game is being played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, home of the Arizona Cardinals, due to wildfires in Los Angeles. This could shift momentum to the Vikings, with thousands of Minnesotans living in Arizona during the winter and fans flying down for the playoff game.

Why you should care:

With Green Bay losing to Philadelphia, it guaranteed that the Vikings wouldn’t have a home game in the divisional round if they beat the Rams. Washington beat Tampa Bay, so the Commanders are headed to Detroit next weekend. If the Vikings beat the Rams, they’ll face the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The last time the two teams met there in the playoffs, the Eagles got a 38-7 victory one week after the Minneapolis Miracle.

The Vikings lost to the Rams 30-20 in Week 8 on Thursday Night Football. The game ended in some controversy, with Sam Darnold taking a sack in the end zone for a safety late in the fourth quarter on a play where there should've been a facemask penalty that did not get called.

Vikings fans headed to Arizona game

Some Vikings fans are catching last-minute flights to Arizona for Monday night’s wild card game against the Los Angeles Rams at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. The game was relocated from the SoFi Stadium in California due to the ongoing wildfires, prompting a flurry of travel adjustments for some fans.

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was busy on Monday morning as travelers were decked out in purple and gold as they made their way to their destinations. Sun Country added another flight from MSP to Phoenix for the Vikings game, with a returning flight on Tuesday.

With Arizona being a popular winter destination for Minnesota snow birds, there could be plenty of Vikings supporters cheering on their team in the stands.

Vikings watch party

Vikings fans who can’t make the trip down to Arizona can catch the official watch party at Mystic Lake Casino on Monday night.

Hundreds of fans are expected to gather at the casino for the Vikings' playoff watch party, which will feature special appearances by the SKOL Line, Victor the Vikings, Vikings legends and cheerleaders, other activities and more.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with kickoff set for 7 p.m. The Mystic Lake Casino does note that all free tickets for the event have been claimed.
