Incumbent Mitch McConnell has won the Kentucky Senate race, according to a projection by FOX News. The six-term senator defeated his Democratic challenger Amy McGrath.

President Donald Trump is vowing to ask the Supreme Court to weigh in on the inconclusive election.

The Democrat, who represents parts of the Bronx and Queens, defeated Republican John Cummings, a teacher and former police officer. 

Election Day is only one point in the process of the Electoral College, which decides who wins a U.S. presidential race.

Political newcomer Tommy Tuberville bested incumbent Sen. Doug Jones in the Nov. 3 election, according to the Associated Press, flipping the seat back into Republican hands for the first time since Jones’ improbable 2017 victory over Judge Roy Moore.

California Proposition 22, which would again classify app-based transportation and delivery drivers as independent contractors, has passed.  

Republican U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst will remain seated on Capitol Hill after defeating her Democratic opponent, Theresa Greenfield, in a close race, according to a FOX News projection.

Republican U.S. Sen. Steve Daines will remain in Congress after beating his Democratic opponent, Montana Gov. Steve Bullock, in the state’s most expensive race, according to the Associated Press.

Cannabis-related propositions were on the ballot in New Jersey, Arizona, Montana and South Dakota. Medical marijuana initiatives were also being decided in Mississippi and South Dakota.

The Oregon drug initiative will allow people arrested with small amounts of hard drugs to avoid going to trial, and possible jail time, by paying a $100 fine and attending an addiction recovery program.

Volunteers began counting absentee ballots in Milwaukee at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
