Resident escapes St. Paul fire

A resident climbed on a roof to escape a large fire at a building on University Avenue in St. Paul Wednesday morning. FOX 9's Se Kwon has this update.

2 children die after fire at St. Paul home

Family members confirm a second child has died after a fire ripped through a St. Paul household Wednesday morning. The fire started around 1:31 a.m. in a home on the 1200 block of Arkwright Street North. An adult and six children, between the ages of 1 and 6, were inside the home when the fire started.

The SPFD says the fire started around 1:31 a.m. in a home on the 1200 block of Arkwright Street North. The six children and one adult were inside the home when the fire started. Officials say when firefighters entered the home, they found all seven people unconscious. The seven were all taken to Regions Hospital where they are currently in critical condition.
