2 body camera videos in death of George Floyd released

The body camera video from two of the now-fired Minneapolis police officers involved in the death of George Floyd was released to the public Monday. On Friday, Hennepin County District Court Judge Peter Cahill ordered copies of the footage from officers Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng to be released.

Judge tosses out gag order in George Floyd murder case

A Hennepin County judge dismissed a gag order in the George Floyd murder case after the defense argued it was not fair to the four former Minneapolis Police officers involved after so much had already been said about their actions.

Minnesota prosecutors acknowledged Wednesday that a Minneapolis police officer had his knee on the neck of George Floyd for 7 minutes, 46 seconds -- not the 8:46 that has become a symbol of police brutality -- but said the one-minute error would have no impact on the criminal case against four officers.

Family of George Floyd chooses independent medical examiner for another autopsy

The family of George Floyd, who died in Minneapolis police custody, selected an independent medical examiner to conduct a separate autopsy, saying the current findings "do not address in detail the effect of the purposeful use of force on Mr. Floyd's neck and the extent of Mr. Floyd's suffering at the hands of police."
