PJ Fleck said Monday the Gophers got "really good news" on injured linebacker Kamal Martin and he's a "game time decision" when the Gophers (7-0, 4-0) host Maryland on Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium.

Four-time cancer survivor and University of Minnesota walk-on placeholder Casey O’Brien earned Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honors after Minnesota’s 42-7 win at Rutgers Saturday. 

The Gophers improved to 7-0 for the first time since 1960 and 4-0 in Big Ten play for the first time since 1967 after beating Rutgers 42-7 on Saturday.

The Gophers head to Rutgers ranked 20th in the country and are favored by 28.5 points after beating Nebraska 34-7 last week. Their 6-0 start is the best since 2003.

The Gophers are off to their first 6-0 start since 2003 and are 29.5 point favorites on the road at Rutgers this Saturday.

Gopher football fans are still riding high on the blowout win this weekend over Nebraska, and the team is now cracking the AP Top 25 of collegiate ranks for the first time in nearly five years.

Minnesota Gophers linebacker Kamal Martin was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after the team’s 34-7 win over Nebraska Saturday. 

The 6-0 Golden Gopher football team cracked the national rankings Sunday, making its first appearance of the season in the AP Top 25 at number 20.

The Gophers ran for 322 of their 450 total yards in a 34-7 win over Nebraska under the lights Saturday night at TCF Bank Stadium. Mohamed Ibrahim scored three touchdowns, and Rodney Smith and Shannon Brooks combined for 238 yards.

The University of Minnesota football team has all its attention on Nebraska as the Cornhuskers visit TCF Bank Stadium Saturday night. With a win, the Gophers would start 6-0 and be bowl eligible.

Gophers sophomore receiver Rashod Bateman posted a photo to Snapchat on Monday with his right hand in a soft cast. Coach PJ Fleck said he is not injured.

Rodney Smith had a career-high 211 rushing yards and a touchdown as the Gophers ran for 332 yards collectively in a 40-17 win over Illinois. They're 5-0 for the first time since 2004.

Saturday's homecoming for the Golden Gophers included plenty of reunions. But perhaps the most heartwarming was a man who got to meet the person who kept him alive with a bone marrow donation.

After a slow offensive start on Saturday, Minnesota Gophers wide receiver Tyler Johnson showed off a little magic while pulling in a touchdown catch on homecoming weekend.

It’s another opportunity for a home win, and a chance to start 5-0. Fleck stuck to his clichés earlier this week, saying each week is its own championship week. Their goal when the clock expires in the fourth quarter on Saturday is to finish the week 1-0.

PJ Fleck was walking off the field after Saturday's 38-31 win at Purdue when Tanner Morgan, fresh off a career game, told him "I can be better."
