AHS teaches kids about pet body language

Do your kids know how to read a pet's body language? Sometimes the cues can be hard to pick up on if a dog or cat is feeling anxious or overwhelmed. The team at the Animal Humane Society teamed up with local dog treat company "Must Be Ruff" to host a presentation for kids at Weaver Lake Elementary School in Maple Grove.

Rusty is FOX 9's pick of the litter

Meet this week's pick of the litter from the Minnesota Animal Humane Society. This is "Rusty." He is a 5-year-old Australian Shepard miniature mix. AHS says he is a curious and laid-back dog who loves people. He is looking for a family that will help him continue working on his manners. He needs to go to a home without other dogs. AHS program addresses vet tech shortage
