Minnesota gardening season off to a rough start due to cold weather

At this point, who isn’t fed up with Minnesota’s latest recent round of cold weather that just never seems to end? April is often the month when people can get out in their yards for planting season, but sadly, that doesn’t seem to be the case this year.

The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota is asking people to not fill bird feeders or birdbaths to help stop the spread of bird flu this spring. 

Minnesota Zoo welcomes new Amur tiger after death of another tiger

Three weeks after the Minnesota Zoo said goodbye to a beloved Amur tiger, the zoo has a new “paw-some” family member. Luka is a 16-month-old Amur tiger. These tigers are some of the largest cats in the world, and it's believed that there are fewer than 500 left in the wild.
