Grandmother survives bear attack in Minnesota

Bear attacks are rare in Minnesota. The DNR reports only 10 such encounters leading to serious injuries in the state since 1987. One of those attacks occurred over the recent long Memorial Day weekend in cabin country. The victim shared her terrifying encounter with FOX 9’s Paul Blume.

Bear surprises man relaxing outside

A young black bear gave a man a fright while he was relaxing outside his Asheville, North Carolina, home on Wednesday. A security camera on David Oppenheimer's home captured the bear cautiously approaching him while he was scrolling on his phone outside. Oppenheimer jumped in surprise when he noticed the bear nearly at his feet.
