Minnesota to get professional women's hockey team

Minnesota is slated to be home to a new Professional Women's Hockey League team. An official announcement is expected Tuesday morning, but according to the PWHL's newly launched social media account on X (formerly Twitter), the league is only following six other users, and each is listed as a new franchise location — including Minnesota.
