Winona community rallies to pay student’s medical bills after accident

After a serious crash on Jan. 20 near the campus of Winona State University, sophomore student Mackenzie Sinner spent weeks in the hospital, as doctors put her shattered skull back together with pins and plates. But since then her community rallied by her side, raising more than $20,000 for her medical bills.

Minnesota man dies from COVID-19 after family fought to keep his ventilator on

Scott Quiner has died at 55 from a monthslong battle with COVID-19. He died about a week after being moved to Texas for care following a lawsuit over his ventilator. The family's attorney Marjorie Holsten told FOX 9, "On behalf of the family, I would like to extend their thanksgivings for the love and support they have received from the community, and request privacy for Annie and the children as they grieve the loss of Scott -- a wonderful husband and father."

Police: Instacart driver ran over groceries over 'Thank You Blaine PD' sign

Police in Blaine, Minnesota say charges are likely to be filed in the near future against an Instacart delivery driver accused of leaving a derogatory message on an elderly couple’s grocery receipt and running over their groceries with her car. The driver allegedly did this in response to a "Thank you Blaine PD" yard sign supporting the police department.
