For the last four years, Andrea Thomas has operated Nourish Food Shelf out of the fellowship hall at Mount Olivet Baptist Church on the edge of Frogtown. But now they're looking for a new home.

St. Paul teachers union votes yes to strike

St. Paul teachers overwhelmingly voted yes to authorize a strike after more than two-thirds of union members turned out to Thursday's vote, with 92% voting in favor. While the vote passed, the union must provide the district a 10-day notice before striking.

High Tech Kid Challenge comes to St. Paul

It’s a robot faceoff at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul this weekend. The High Tech Kids Minnesota FIRST Tech Challenge and Lego League Challenge will take place on Feb. 17 and Feb.18. First up are the robotics teams comprised of 6th-12th graders who build a robot that will compete in a challenge. They utilize CAD design and 3D printing to develop their robot. On Sunday, 70 teams of FIRST Lego League Challenge teams will compete to advance to the World Championships. Those teams are made up of students between 4th and 8th grade. They program autonomous LEGO robots to navigate multiple missions on a game field.

St. Paul native killed in Mexico by a pack of dogs

St. Paul native, Mina Bast, is being mourned by family and friends after she was killed by a pack of dogs in Mexico. Bast was reportedly helping a dog who was being attacked by a pack of 10 other dogs when the pack turned on her.
