Puppies rescued after surviving extreme temps

During the recent cold snap, homeowners found two German Shepherd puppies living under their covered porch in Minnesota. The puppies seemed to be taking shelter from cold temperatures which fell to minus-25 degrees last week. Animal rescue, Ruff Start, rescued the puppies, who are now living with fosters until they are adoptable.

Vandals open fire hydrants, depleting Cokato water supply

The Cokato Fire Department was called out between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 a.m. Sunday to deal with multiple fire hydrants that had been opened and left running, draining over one million gallons of water from the city's reserves.

Fallen teammate serves as inspiration for Dassel-Cokato High's playoff push

It has been 46 years since Dassel-Cokato High School made the Minnesota state football championship tournament. Now that they’re in, their goal now is to add more hardware to the trophy case. They’re hoping to make history, but also do it in honor of a teammate, who passed away.
