An active Saturday ahead

FOX 9 meteorologist Jennifer McDermed says thunderstorms will be likely Saturday as cloud cover increases overnight. As we move into the afternoon keep your eyes on the sky for moderate to possibly severe thunderstorms moving through the area.

A few thunderstorms are possible Saturday evening into the night. Mostly sunny sky returns by Sunday along with the 90s and higher humidity levels. This will set us up for a very hot Monday and Tuesday with highs in the mid-90s and heat index values reaching the triple digits.
