A “midweek mellow” will present itself in terms of temperatures throughout Minnesota, but winds will be gusty throughout.

Tuesday will be brighter, with some passing clouds in the afternoon and highs in the mid-40s. On Wednesday, temperatures heat up slightly for the Twin Cities, but a small system could bring a chance for light rain and snowflakes in parts of the state.

It'll be much cooler than this past weekend, but it'll stay seasonably mild this week. FOX 9's Cody Matz has your forecast.

Much cooler temperatures Monday after some record warmth Sunday. Some light, patchy showers are possible in southeastern Minnesota Monday. The metro might see some very light rain around noon. Even with cooler temperatures Monday, they still stay above average.

Sunday could break another warm record with an expected high temperature of 70 degrees in the metro area. Sunday will be mostly sunny, but windy. A cold front is expected to pass through Minnesota this afternoon, which might cause some showers and possibly thundershowers.

Temperatures will stay very mild Saturday night with record breaking warmest low temperatures expected by Sunday morning. Temperatures look to stay in the mid 40s for parts of Minnesota which will help to reach a new record high temperature Sunday afternoon. A south breeze will linger tonight through a big chunk of Sunday. Gusts could reach above 30 mph for parts of Minnesota before a cold front pushes through the metro later in the evening.

Record heat is expected for both Saturday and Sunday. It will be a breezy Saturday with a high of 64 degrees in the Twin Cities. Sunday will be warmer with a high of 70 degrees and a chance for passing showers as a cold front sweeps across the state in the evening.

The warm temperatures will continue as we move into this weekend. Record heat is expected for both Saturday and Sunday. The record high temperature for the metro on Saturday is 54 degrees, and Minnesota may break above that by 10 degrees. The warm air is around Saturday night with a good shot at breaking the warmest low temperature for the metro on Sunday morning.

It's looking like a beautiful start to March, with record warmth possible this weekend. Friday will be mild and breezy, with highs in the upper 50s for the Twin Cities metro area. By the weekend, temperatures climb into the 60s and potentially 70s, but northern Minnesota stays significantly cooler with highs in the 30s.

Temperatures are starting to warm Thursday to make for another above average warn weekend. Friday will be sunny and warm with an expected high temperature of 59 degrees. The weekend will be warm with temperatures possibly reaching 70 degrees on Sunday.
