After some above average temperatures on Sunday, we're looking at record warmth in the forecast for this week. Here's you forecast.

It's going to be a calm and quiet weekend with highs in the mid to upper 40s and chances of sunshine in the afternoon.

Temperatures are slightly cooler for Friday, with a high of around 43 degrees in the Twin Cities metro. But potential record-breaking warmth is on the way for next week, with highs in the 50s.

Into the weekend it will be sunny and warm. The warm temperatures and sun will continue into the next week. Friday is expected to be slightly cooler as a weak cold front moves through the state. Weekend temperatures will be in the mid 40s.

The start of February will be bright and cooler, with a high of 47 degrees in the Twin Cities metro area. By the weekend, it will continue to feel more like spring with warmer temperatures.

The Twin Cities again broke a record on Tuesday, surpassing 50-degree temperatures in January.
