Clouds roll in for the afternoon, bringing isolated rumbles for mainly central and northern Minnesota, but the Twin Cities metro could see some showers.

More rain is on the way for Tuesday as the eastern part of Minnesota is under a Level 2 Severe Risk for severe weather. The morning and early afternoon stay mild but steamy, with an afternoon high of 86 degrees. Things turn stormy in the early evening, with the possibility of heavy downpours, lightning, and gusty winds. The system will push out later this evening as things clear overnight.

Early morning rain will push out to the east, making way for a brighter afternoon. Monday is feeling more like summer with temperatures in the low 80s and on the more humid side. The warm temperatures stick around for Tuesday and we could see storms in the afternoon.

Thunderstorms will roll out of the Dakotas overnight with the possibility of these storms turning into a line of storms or broken line of storms in Minnesota. This may lead to a few areas dealing with gusty winds as storms pass over the state.
