Staying cool through Saturday, warmer Sunday

Saturday won’t be as windy as the past few days, but a slight breeze out of the northwest will keep a chill in the air. Sunday is shaping up to be the pick day of the weekend with highs that hit close to 60 degrees with sunshine and lighter winds. Another round of showers returns later on Monday.

MN weather: Few chance of flakes on Friday

It's a cold and windy Friday with a few scattered flakes possible later in the day. The high is 43 degrees in the Twin Cities metro, but with blustery breezes, wind chills are in the 30s. The start of the weekend is chilly, but temperatures try to warm up to the 60s for Sunday.

MN weather: Freeze warning for Friday morning

Friday is expected to be colder than average with a high temperature of 45 degrees. There is a freeze warning in place start Friday morning at 1 a.m. ending at 8 a.m. in the Twin Cities and most of the southern part of the state. Friday is also expected to be windy and mostly cloudy.

Storms cause damage across Midwest

Strong storms caused damage across the Midwest on Tuesday, from hail to funnel clouds and tornados. FOX 9's Kelly O'Connell has the details.

Light showers linger Wednesday morning and will taper off by the afternoon. Cloud cover will try to clear out for some late-day sun and a high of 56 degrees. The breezy winds are sticking around for the next couple of days, but they won't be as gusty as Tuesday.
