MN weather: Gray day

A nice sunrise, but the cloud cover will linger today with plenty of moisture in southern Minnesota. However, this moisture will struggle to get into the Twin Cities. A few sprinkles or very light showers are possible, but it's gray more than anything with temps heading into the mid-40s.

April showers bring May flowers, and portions of southern and central Minnesota could see some precipitation to kick off the month. The measurable rain will remain in southern Minnesota on Monday, but the Twin Cities metro area could get a sprinkle.

Southern Minnesota will have a chance of light rain and light snow on Sunday. Impacts will be minimal with the light precipitation more a nuisance. Monday will also feature a chance of light rain and snow. Warmer and sunny days expected later next week.

Warmer temperatures on the way

Minnesota will stay cloudy to mostly cloudy over the weekend ahead. Expect a mix of temperatures in the 30s to some 40s for the Twin Cities on Saturday. Easter Sunday is shaping up to stay cloudy with light winds, with the next chance of rain showers on Monday for the southern half of the state. Showers look to stay on the lighter side, and snow will continue to melt away with warmer temperatures arriving later next week.

MN weather: Spotty showers possible late Friday

Temperatures are warming up closer to seasonable on Friday with a high of 44 degrees in the Twin Cities metro. A system moving in from the west is bringing a chance of spotty showers late Friday and into early Saturday. The weekend will stay relatively dry, and we could see another chance of rain on Monday.

The Twin Cities metro can expect sunshine and lighter winds on Thursday, with highs in the mid-30s. Temperatures will return closer to seasonable for the weekend where we could see our next chance for showers.

It's feeling like winter again with cold temperatures and a fresh blanket of snow. The Twin Cities metro area will have highs in the 20s and a breeze, making it feel like the teens. Temperatures start warming back up Thursday and reach closer to seasonable by the weekend.
