Former Gopher linebacker donates kidney to former teammate on dialysis

Former Gopher Football linebacker Michael “Doobie” Kurus donated his kidney to former captain and defensive tackle Ed Hawthrone when Hawthorne was on dialysis and most in need. The act gave Hawthorne a second chance at life.
