‘1913 masterpiece’ Minneapolis home open for tours
The Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) has a vast collection that includes a home near Lake of the Isles – the Purcell-Cutts house built in 1913. William Gray Purcell and George Grant Elmslie designed and built the home, which is considered a masterpiece of Prairie School architecture. It has been mostly un-altered and meticulously maintained. The home is located at 2328 Lake Pl. in Minneapolis, and guided tours are offered the second weekend of each month.
