MN woman awarded Presidential Citizens Medal

Diane Carlson Evans, from Buffalo, Minnesota, was honored with the Presidential Citizen's Medal for her service as a nurse during the Vietnam War and for founding the Vietnam Women's Memorial Foundation. Her work resulted in a memorial statue being built on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. to honor the sacrifices of women during the Vietnam War.
