Minneapolis police chief, mayor address video of punch during carjacking arrest
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Police Chief Medaria Arradondo addressed a video circulating on social media that appears to show a Minneapolis police officer punching a teenager in the head as they worked to help Robbinsdale police arrest several carjacking suspects. Arradondo said the carjacking took place in New Hope. The vehicle was eventually stopped by Robbinsdale police officers in Minneapolis. Minneapolis officers were called to the scene to assist. Frey said an internal investigation has been opened into the incident.
