Minnesota weather: Rain sweeps through metro

Rains pushed through the Twin Cities on Tuesday, as stronger storms remained to the south.

The Twin Cities saw some heavy rainfall on Tuesday evening, as more severe weather stayed to the south of Minnesota.

The risk for severe weather diminished in the afternoon hours but most in the metro still saw plenty of rain.

Moving forward

Wednesday is quiet with some sunshine and highs in the upper 60s. More widespread rain is expected for Thursday morning and potentially lingering into Friday and the early part of the weekend, but it won’t be a total washout.
